Coinciding with Deborah Poynton’s Model for a World: A Survey of 25 Years of Painting, The New Church Museum will hold yoga sessions in the Museum.
Making a social body; Not just looking; Walking the museum; Performing the museum; Disquieting bodies; bodies at rest; peaceful bodies.
Each session begins with a 10 minute introduction to the works of art, followed by 40 minutes of kundalini yoga and meditation led by Art Curator and Yoga Instructor Chantal Louw.
The class is free but due to limited space booking is essential.
All levels of ability are welcome.
Wear comfortable white clothing and bring your own yoga mat, a blanket and a mug for tea afterwards.
